How to be more than an ally
I created this book as a resource for white people and non-black POC to learn about the concept of 'allyship' in the Black Lives Matter movement, what it means, and how to take action in their community as an accomplice. I wanted my book to operate as somewhat of a guide, without necessarily giving step by step instructions as there is no specific one correct way to help. I pulled together resources from a number of different locations in order to have information in one easy to access spot. The book contains term definitions, essays and quotes on the concept of 'allyship' written by Black people and communities, as well as information about civilian oversight procedures, copwatch, volunteering, and information about how to be a more active part of the community.
